4- CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SERVICE.

The first thing to do is to Register. Go to the home page and commence the registration process, which is simple. Enter your data in the Account form. You will then receive an e-mail at your e-mail address. Read it and click on the web link it contains. Your registration will be confirmed and you can connect to the system. After the completion of the registration process, you can start a session with your login and password.

4.1. Course.

The VetAbroad® e-learning course is designed to prepare vets with degrees obtained outside the United Kingdom to deal with the cultural and professional difficulties and gain easier access to the British employment market. The e-learning format makes the course extremely flexible, allowing students to follow it when and where they find it convenient (at home, at work, at weekends, at night, etc.). After completing each module a self-test is provided that allows vets to know their study level. If a participant has any doubts or needs clarifications at any time, that participant may contact his tutor by e-mail, who will respond within the established terms. On completing the course, the participants will receive a certificate accrediting they have studied the course, which can be used to prove to future employers that the vet has taken the course and is aware of its content.

You have a maximum of two months to complete the course. We recommend you download the support material, as you can only access the course for 4 additional weeks after completing it. Users can request a course access extension, but the granting of this extension is entirely up to the manager.

To take the course, you need to install Flash Player 10 in your computer system.

On completing the course you will automatically receive a certificate in PDF format. The information included in that certificate is based on the data you have given us. You alone are responsible for the rigour and truthfulness of such information. No certificates will be issued with data different from those initially provided.

You may ask your tutor questions by e-mail while you take the course and for 4 weeks after it. If you would like to continue receiving advice after that term, please register with our consultancy and counselling service (CCS).

4.2. Trainee positions.

VetAbroad® has a list of clinics operating in the United Kingdom who are willing to offer students passing the course a hands-on training period. All the persons who take advantage of the opportunity to receive this practical training have the possibility of substantially increasing their prospects of finding a good job, since they can provide it as proof of their practical job experience in the United Kingdom. Bear in mind that the number of places is limited.

4.3. Personal consultancy and counselling service (CCS).

Once in the United Kingdom, you may have doubts about many routine topics regarding which it is useful to receive guidance (such as finding accommodation, how to open a bank account, how to deal with situations with work colleagues or neighbours, etc.).VetAbroad® offers advice in all these fields via e-mail.
