Through this notice, posted by Luis Alberto Sainz-Pardo Clares (hereinafter, VetAbroad®) Website Users are informed, pursuant to the terms of article 5 of Organic Act 15/1999 of 13 December 1999, on Personal Data Protection (hereinafter, LOPD), about its personal data protection policy, so that they may freely, expressly and voluntarily decide whether they wish to furnish VetAbroad® with the personal data requested from them in the website for the provision of its services.

Users are also informed that the data obtained shall be included in a file which is duly entered in the Data Protection General Register. The party owning the file and taking responsibility for it is Luis Alberto Sainz-Pardo Clares, and the data are automatically processed pursuant to the specific purposes and other provisions set forth in this privacy policy.

 

Obtaining of data and foreseen uses.

The personal data are obtained by filling out the forms in the Website.

The effective transmission of the data takes place when a User presses the button “CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT”, “SUBMIT”, “SEARCH” included in the forms.

The data requested are adequate, pertinent and not excessive in relation to the scope, purposes and legitimate, established, explicit services of VetAbroad®.

Users shall complete the forms with truthful, accurate, complete and updated information, and shall respond for any damages caused by incorrect completion of the form using false, inexact or non-updated information.

This form includes the personal information of a User and a friend. The data shall be processed for the purpose of sending an e-mail recommending the website. VetAbroad® shall not save or process the information on the friend’s e-mail address.

B. Contact.

This form includes data of a personal nature which shall be processed for the purpose of responding to a message sent by the User and sending information about products or services of VetAbroad® pursuant to the terms set forth in section E.

C. Processing of data for sending commercial correspondence.

VetAbroad® may use the information identifying the registered persons (given name and surname, address, telephone and e-mail) to send commercial correspondence about the services of VetAbroad®.

It is held that Users expressly agree to their data being processing for the above purpose, on pressing the button “SUBMIT” in the data collection form.

Pursuant to the requirements of article 21 of Act 34/2002, on Information Society Services and E-Commerce, in pressing the button “SUBMIT”, Users agree to receive commercial correspondence by e-mail and other equivalent electronic means.

Security Measures.

VetAbroad® has adopted the personal data protection security standards required by current data protection legislation by installing the necessary technical and organisational measures to prevent loss, inappropriate use, alteration, unauthorised access and other potential risks.

Likewise, VetAbroad® undertakes to comply with the secrecy obligation with respect to the data included in the files, as established in the applicable data protection legislation. In particular, VetAbroad® informs users that it has signed the pertinent non-disclosure and data protection agreement with all third parties having access to personal data for which VetAbroad® is responsible in the provision of services by such parties, pursuant to the terms of article 12 of the LOPD; such third parties undertake to process the data for the sole purpose of providing the services contracted by VetAbroad® and take the necessary organisational, data-processing and any other security measures that may be required in each case.

VetAbroad® informs users that the data obtained through the website is obtained in a technological environment which applies high standards of security and confidentiality in transmitting information. Nonetheless, users must be aware that security measures over the Internet are not completely foolproof.

VetAbroad® warns Users about the use of cookies when a user browses the website. VetAbroad® reserves the right to change this data privacy policy and adapt it to new legislation and case-law, and any criteria interpreting this legislation published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency. In that case, VetAbroad® shall announce those changes in the website in sufficient time for them to be put into practice.
